TreeTop Walk

At the HSBC TreeTop Walk one could have the bird's eye view of the forest canopy. Launched officially by National Parks Board (NParks) and HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Limited on 5 November 2004, the HSBC TreeTop Walk is the first of its kind in Singapore.

Did you know that the history of Singapore Police Force could be traced back to 1819 when Singapore was founded? Starting with a very small unit, it comprised of one sergeant, 8 constables, a jailer and a Malay writer and a total monthly cost of three hundred dollars. It did not even have an officer-in-charge until Sir Francis James Bernard, son-in-law of Major William Farquhar, was appointed Chief Police Officer later in 1819!

This stamp series was issued after the official completion of the ten-year clean-up campaign of the Singapore River. They served as a public celebration of this major national achievement, a visual curation of the success of the campaign, which presented clean rivers as a symbol of a modern, clean, and green Singapore.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) commemorates 200 years of policing in 2020 (SPF200). Formed in May 1820, the SPF is one of the oldest government organisations in Singapore. Osaka Expo

To commemorate the World Fair in Osaka, Japan, Singapore issued a special philatelic set on 15th March 1970. The release comprises four individual postage stamps showcasing local flora and fauna - seashell motif (15¢), guppy fish (35¢), flamingo bird (75¢) and the orchid flowers ($1).

Nestled in the shores of the easternmost tip of Pulau Ubin, Chek Jawa is a unique area where six major habitats -- coastal hill forest, mangroves, rocky shore, sandflats, coral rubble and seagrass lagoon -- come together to bring about an extraordinary mix of flora and fauna on both land and sea.
